Wir von Robocop Kraus freuen uns sehr über Berichterstattung über unsere Musikgruppe. Bei dem Artikel über uns in der Spex, einem von uns hoch geschätzten Magazin, mussten wir uns jedoch die Frage stellen: Wie kam der Schweinebraten in den Artikel? Was hat er da verloren? Hier wurde etwas falsch dargestellt, und auch wenn es wichtigere Themen geben mag - hier, für alle, die den Artikel gelesen haben, eine Art Gegendarstellung in Briefform:

Lieber Max,

ich habe seit kurzem deinen Spex Artikel über uns vorliegen. Es freut mich sehr, dass dir die Platte gefallen hat. In einem Punkt scheint es aber ein Missverständnis zu geben und das möchte ich gerne richtig stellen. Ich habe seit 10 Jahren nicht “mit sichtbarem Genuss Schweinebraten (…) verzehrt” - du musst das verwechselt haben, ich esse kein Fleisch. Auch sonst keiner in der Band, auch wenn wir das nicht so vor uns her tragen. Der Zusammenhang, in dem das steht, zeichnet zudem ein schiefes Bild von meiner Aussage über Fugazi. (…) Dass Fugazi, vielleicht wegen nachvollziehbarer Vorbehalte gegen Rockstargehabe, eine eben ganz andere Form von Inszenierung gewählt haben, war für mich einfach eine interessante Erkenntnis, hat aber gar nichts mit meiner Ernährung zu tun.

Ich würde mich über eine Antwort von Dir freuen.

uups. In der Tat: Missverständnis. Ich hätte schwören können, auf Deinem
Teller einen Schweinebraten gesehen zu haben… Wahrscheinlich habe ich
Deinen Teller mit MEINEM verwechselt… (obwohl ich Suppe gegessen habe).

Ich bitte aufrichtig um Verzeihung. Insbesondere da Du Recht hast, dass man
die anschließende Passage über Fugazi dadurch anders lesen könnte als von
Dir beabsichtigt.

Einigen wir uns darauf, dass es mir eine große Freude bereitet hat Dich
kennengelernt zu haben - und dass die wenigsten Leser (ich rede von
Promille) Dir daraus einen Strick drehen werden. Die meisten werden den (von
uns beabsichtigten) Eindruck erlangen, dass es sich lohnt mit Robocop Kraus
2007 auseinanderzusetzen.

Julian Reich, our friend from berlin travelled to the US with holey socks, literally hundreds of dollars in his bag and no idea how the new Robocop Kraus Video should look like. The pressure was unhuman, but luckily he found the phone numbers of two famous “Luchadores” in the telephone book of Los Angeles. Julian contacted them and was overwhelmed by their hospitality and got finally introduced to their world of spectacular “high-flying-moves” . I hope you enjoy it.

the time has come, the waiting is over, finally our new record will be released! on the 21st of september for all the germans and on 24st of september in the rest of europe.
so, don´t hesitate and visit your local dealer, empty your geldbeutel, take off your clothes, run to the forrests, hug a tree and dance to the mysterious sounds of “blunders and mistakes”.
as you may have heard, we made this recording a transcontinental experience. here are the facts: first we sailed to the harbours of hamburg where we recorded with producer tobias levin and engineer marc weis. then we took off to studio city in los angeles to meet adam lasus who mixed everything and made this recording a sonic experience.
kevin hooyman, famous artist from NY, painted the cover and greg calbi mastered the album also in NY.
so, if you’re quick you get the first edition of the cd which includes a dvd with bits and pieces we filmed during our travels all over the world. and for all the hifi lovers, there will be a vinyl version as well….

/robocop kraus

we are very happy to present you our new website. Milan and Michael from Two Antennas literally spent hours to make it that beautiful and concise. Thank you!!!

And there is another new thing here and on our myspace. It’s so NEW that even we don´t know exactly what it is …but we´ll find out. It´s called INTERWEB and it is the greatest thing since sliced pumpernickel!!
It is something like a player with which you are able to listen to our songs, again and again, without rewinding the tape…. that wouldn´t be too exciting and new, BUT you can talk to little animals and there are photos and movie-clips (not yet!) in it. You can add it to your blog or homepage or myspace and then you are linked to us like an unborn baby to its mother and chat with all the other users…check it out! You can also win in the lottery, so you can forget your monetary worries.

Finally all shows of our TOUR in autumn are confirmed - it´s getting a little bit crazy (see in our Tourdates)… but we keep our promise to bring joy and happiness, light and sound to every little town we found on the map! We are very lucky to play almost every show with the amazing band “SO SO MODERN” from New Zealand.
